Was ist das eigent­lich, ein Blog? Per gän­gi­ger Defi­ni­ti­on im Netz eine Art Tage­buch, in dem Pri­vat­per­so­nen etwas von sich erzäh­len. Geschieht dies mit einer gewis­sen Kon­ti­nui­tät nebst ent­spre­chen­der Qua­li­tät, fin­det sich über die Zeit ein Schwung Leu­te, die das verfolgen.

Die­se Follower/Leser sind wich­tig und kön­nen den Autor beflü­geln mehr zu machen. Damit er sich vom Gros der „Ich­stel­le­malein­Fo­to­ins­Netz “-Hob­by­b­log­ger unter­schei­det, muss er sich aller­dings etwas ein­fal­len las­sen. Und genau da wird es inter­es­sant. Denn wer es mit dem Blog­gen ernst meint, hat eine Men­ge Arbeit. Fer­ner ist es gar nicht ein­fach, beson­ders zu sein.
Nach dem Feed­back, das ich bis jetzt auf diver­sen Kanä­len über mei­nen Golf Blog erhal­ten habe, schei­nen den Lesern mei­ne Geschich­ten gut zu gefal­len. Vie­len Dank an die­ser Stel­le. Das ist die größ­te Moti­va­ti­on für mich weiterzumachen.

Gute Sto­ries ent­ste­hen übri­gens nicht per Fin­ger­schnip­pen, son­dern erfor­dern Zeit. So etwas, fin­de ich, sieht man. Ob auf einer Sei­te selbst oder auf Instagram.
Das wich­tigs­te an mei­nem Golf Blog ist und soll es auch wei­ter­hin sein: die per­sön­li­che Note. Kein PR-Geblub­ber oder Copy+Paste Sto­ries, son­dern Geschich­ten aus dem Leben, die mei­ne Mei­nung wie­der geben. Und das auch ger­ne ein­mal mit einem Tick Iro­nie versehen.

Golf ist hier­zu­lan­de eh noch viel zu ver­staubt und spie­ßig. Es wird Zeit, das Schlä­ger­schwin­gen in einem ande­ren Licht zu prä­sen­tie­ren. Dabei soll das neue Fea­ture, das ich mir aus­ge­dacht habe, genau­so hel­fen, wie die zukünf­ti­gen Geschichten.

Dies wird sowohl in Deutsch als auch in Eng­lisch statt­fin­den. Sei­en es aktu­el­le Vor­komm­nis­se im Netz oder die neu­es­ten Trends in Sachen Mode und Rei­se, mein Golf Blog weist dar­auf hin. Mit Sicher­heit wer­den auch ein paar rich­ti­ge Auf­re­ger dabei sein, doch die machen das Gan­ze ja erst spannend.

If this hap­pens with a cer­tain con­ti­nui­ty and the cor­re­spon­ding qua­li­ty, over time the­re will be quite a lot of peo­p­le start­ing to follow.

The­se fol­lo­wers / rea­ders are important and can inspi­re the aut­hor to do more. But to be dif­fe­rent from the majo­ri­ty of “i‑post-a-picture-and-that’s‑it” blog­gers, he has to come up with some­thing spe­cial. And that’s whe­re it gets inte­res­t­ing. Inci­den­tal­ly, good sto­ries don’t just hap­pen, they requi­re time. And this beco­mes most noti­ceable in qua­li­ty. Whe­ther on a page its­elf, or on Instagram.

The most important thing about my Golf Blog is and always will be the per­so­nal touch. No PR-bubbling or copy + pas­te sto­ries, but sto­ries from life, with my own opi­ni­on and even with a touch of irony.

In my coun­try Golf still appears dus­ty and bour­geois. I feel it is time to pre­sent this Sport in a dif­fe­rent light. The new fea­ture I came up with is sup­po­sed to help with that, as well as all future stories.

This will take place both in Ger­man and in Eng­lish. Be it cur­rent inci­dents on the web or the latest trends in fashion and tra­vel, it is poin­ted out in my Golf Blog. Cer­tain­ly, the­re will be a few real­ly hot topics as well, but this is what makes the who­le thing interesting.
