Tiger Woods ist drau­ßen. Das ist scha­de, aber auch eine klei­ne Sen­sa­ti­on. Vor allem weil nicht Rory McIl­roy, son­dern Lucas Bjer­re­gaard im Vier­tel­fi­na­le dafür ver­ant­wort­lich zeich­net. Es war ein tol­les Match mit vie­len High­lights und dem bes­se­ren Ende für den in den USA noch völ­lig unbe­kann­ten Dänen. Gera­de auf den Back­ni­ne ver­dient des­sen Spiel  das Prä­di­kat “Welt­klas­se”.

Tiger Woods did not make it into the semis. That’s a dow­ner of cour­se on the other hand it is big sur­pri­se. Becau­se his loss at the WGC Match­play Event came not by the hands of Rory McIl­roy but Lucas Bjer­re­gaard. The unknown Dane play­ed pro­ba­b­ly the best Golf of his car­re­er so far and beat Tiger fair and squa­re one up. They exten­ded High­lights of the match show what kind of sen­sa­tio­nal Golf Lucas is capa­ble of.

Im ers­ten Halb­fi­na­le trifft Lucas nun auf Matt Kuchar, der Ser­gio Gar­cia bezwang. Auf das Ver­hal­ten von Ser­gio möch­te ich bewußt nicht ein­ge­hen, der Kerl hat sich momen­tan ein­fach nicht im Griff.

Im zwei­ten Halb­fi­na­le steht Kevin Kis­ner vor der schwie­ri­gen Auf­ga­be namens Fran­ces­co Moli­na­ri. Das ita­lie­ni­sche “Match­play-Mons­ter” hat gefühlt nur halb so vie­le Löcher gespielt wie die Kon­kur­renz und ist für mich der abso­lu­te Favo­rit auf den Titel.

Lucas will meet Matt Kuchar in the first semi­fi­nal. Mat­ty beat a strugg­ling Ser­gio Gar­cia. I don’t know what is wrong with the Spa­niard at the moment. For his miss­be­ha­viour on the cour­se, all I have to say is “No comment.”

In the second semi Kevin Kis­ner will meet Fran­ces­co Moli­na­ri. The Ita­li­an “Match­play-Mons­ter” took down his oppon­ents in no time with no mer­cy at all and the­r­e­fo­re has to be the abso­lu­te favo­ri­te for the W.
