Zutaten
Also an einem Par 3 (drei mal), Par 4 (vier mal), Par 5 (fünf mal).
Also ‑1 vom Par 3 = 2.
Roll the Dice
A Dice game for golf, surely something like that already exists or not? I did some research and found some kind of golf dice games, but most of them weren’t really fun to be honest. They had way to complicated rules, some even needed special dices to play, who want’s that? I don’t, so I decided to invent my very own personal Game called “Hubi’s Dice Golf” aka dicemygolf, (Copyright on 😎).
What you need
All you need is a regular dice, a pen and a scorecard, that’s it. Here I have saved the test scorecard of the Augusta National Golf Club for 4 players so just print it out and go for it.
Simple Rules
Here are the rules of the game. They are, and so far every tester has confirmed that, very simple. The Par standard of the course specifies how often you have to roll the dice on each hole. So on a Par 3 (three times), Par 4 (four times), Par 5 (five times). If you roll a 1 you go down -1 from the Par , a 6 goes up +1. The numbers 2,3,4 and 5 count 0/Par and can not change the score.
Examples
On a Par 3: 2–4‑1 results in a score of 2, a Birdie. Explained: The 2 doesn’t change anything, the 4 doesn’t either, but the 1 in the end does. So -1 for a Par 3 = 2 a nice little Birdie.
On a Par 4: 4–3‑3–5 results in a Par 4.(no 1 and no 6 makes it Par)
On a Par 4: 6–2‑1–4 Is also a Par 4. (1 and 6 equalize)
On a Par 4: 6–4‑3–5 would result in a Bogey 5. (The 6 raises the score by one.)
On a Par 5: 5–2‑1–3‑1 would result in an Eagle 3. (Many 1s make good scores.)
*Special: When you roll only 1s on one hole that would result in a 0. Please try again.
That’s it
Honestly, it couldn’t be easier. I like to play 9 holes and then take a look at the score before I hit the backnine. After 18 you have a number. After numerous rounds I had everything from a stellar 65 to a career ending 82. One round won’t last longer than 5–6 minutes so you still have plenty of time to do other things. Try it with your friends and roll whatever course you want. And now have fun.
